望江南·超然台作 — 蘇軾

 

春未老，风细柳斜斜。

试上超然台上看，半壕春水一城花。

烟雨暗千家。

 

寒食后，酒醒却咨嗟。

休对故人思故国，且将新火试新茶。

诗酒趁年华。

 

Transcendent Pavilion by Su Shi

 

Spring is not yet old,

Its breeze still sways willows, to and fro,

Ascending the Pavilion, I behold —

The moats are half-full, the town blossoms blow,

Mist-valanced homes in tiers below.

 

Followed the Fest of Food-Cold*,

Sobering up, my mind sinks in woe,

“How could I show nostalgia,” I self-scold,

“Afore all chums?” For new brew, new fire gan to glow,

O let verse and wine our years of life bestow.
