天淨沙 秋 – （元）朱庭玉

 

庭前落尽梧桐，水边开彻芙蓉。

解与诗人意同。

辞柯霜叶，飞来就我题红。

All parasol leaves fall and strew the yard,

All poolside lotus blooms as sere as charred.

As though construing the deepmost of bard,

A maple leaf, frost-fraught —

Sprig-snatched, flies forth, beseeching my verse hard.
