题李凝幽居 – 贾岛

 

闲居少邻并，草径入荒园。
鸟宿池边树，僧敲月下门。
过桥分野色，移石动云根。
暂去还来此，幽期不负言。

Few neighbours this hermitage sees,

A weedy path leads to an unkept yard.

Pondside, birds rest on moonlit trees,

A monk taps the door, soft but hard.

Athwart the bridge, a vista new,

Rocks drift, like the roots of clouds lift.

I leave now, but my words e’er true -

“I will return at a pace swift...”
