斗靡夸多费览观,陆文犹恨冗于潘。
心声只要传心了,布谷澜翻可是难。

When words too ornate, they do cudgle brains to read,
Lu Ji’s prose was e’en bulkier than Pan’s indeed.
The voice of the heart, like cuckoo’s clear, ringing call,
Needs but hearts to hark — though rare to find, in great need.
