初夏雨中 - （宋）寇准

 

绿树新阴暗井桐，杂英当砌坠疏红。

重门寂寂经初夏，尽日垂帘细雨中。

 

In Early Summer Rain by Kou Zhun (Soong Dynasty)

 

New leaves out-shade the parasol beside the well,

Loose red petals pile on the steps, as if they swell.  

The hushed doors wait on the call of early summer,

The curtains hung drawn, as all day the fine rain fell.
