Ode to Begonia (The Story of the Stone) by Cao Xueqin
Those sweet flowers and ivies all make for the door,
In the corners or pots, her choices are galore.
Hard to pick chums, ‘cause the belle dies for chastity,
For golden autumn she’ll shed her tears so much more,
Like candles' tears till winds dry her snowy petals.
Albeit the moonlight the blossom-belle does adore,
A crystal curtain splits them, to Chang’e she’d weep,
Alas, in the dimmed hallway, torn is her heart’s core.
