禪詩英譯 - 我有明珠一顆 - 茶陵郁禅师

茶陵郁禅师一日乘驴渡桥，不小心坠落而大悟，得一首十分有名的《悟道诗》，全文如下：

 

我有明珠一颗，　

久被尘劳关锁；

今朝尘尽光生，

照破山河万朵。

 

Albeit I possess a bright pearl,

It has been long sealed in vile soil.

Today, it clears off the dusty whirl,

It shines my hills and rills sans toil.

原以為翻譯這麼一首小詩應該很輕鬆，但發現不太容易。缺乏‘佛性’  也就意味缺乏‘靈性’，沒了靈性也就沒了靈感。今暫先按字面的大意翻譯一下，等待以後也能像 茶陵郁禅师 一般能悟出個‘惡’字時再重新鼓搗吧。
