登飞来峰 – 王安石

 

飞来峰上千寻塔，闻说鸡鸣见日升。

不畏浮云遮望眼，自缘身在最高层。

(Ascending Fei Lai Peak)

 

A lofty pagoda on Fei Lai Peak I spy,

Whence it’s said one can see the sun rise when cocks cry.  

Unfazed by clouds obstructing my observing eye,

For I’ve stood steady on the peak of peaks, sky-high.
