我们两个小伙子厮混在一起，
彼此再不分离，
大路上纵横来去，四方游荡不羁，
放纵精力，伸张肘臂，紧扣手指，
披挂武器，无所畏惧，吃着、喝着、睡着、爱着，
无法无天，出海、入伍、盗窃、威逼，
惊吓着吝啬鬼、奴才、牧师，吸气、喝水，舞跃在海滩、草地，
骚扰城市，蔑视安逸，嘲笑条例，赶逐弱虚，
履行我们的突袭。
译记：译惠特曼这首小诗系奉朋友之命。有评家从这首诗看出了“别样”的“快乐”。”Not that there's anything wrong with that ”（哈哈）。我则倾向于以为此诗是一味豪霸（甚至蛮横）之哥们儿气。
另，第二天在巴黎地铁上又碰巧看到了惠特曼：
这是《自我之歌》第六章里的名句的法译。原文为：
“A child said What is the grass?
fetching it to me with full hands.”
（一个孩子说草是什么？
满满地捧了一把给我。）
