笔底银河落九天,何曾憔悴饭山前。
世间东抹西涂手,枉着书生待鲁连。

Beneath his brush, th’ Silver River falls from cloud nine,
Ne’er like Du, who racks his brain to chisel each line.
So many slipshod scribblers on earth who compare
Li Bai to Lu Lian — not a poet so divine.
