江碧鸟逾白，
山青花欲燃。
今春看又过，
何日是归年。

 

A Five-Character Quatrain by Du Fu

 

So whiter the gulls against the blue stream,   

Against the green hills, the blooms seem ablaze.

It looks like spring fades again; I do dream

When will be my exact returning days?
