學愧中西兩未精，歲逾花甲敗垂成。

老牛待宰不甘命，揚角奮蹄哞一爭。

 

Striving to Translate Sonnets by Beidouyixing

 

My English and Chinese, neither has e’er pleased me,

O’er sixty, success not yet, but I must still try.

Although an old bull, I defy my fate’s decree,

Raising my horns, charging hooves, a loud moo I cry.
