静吟 （唐）郑谷

 

骚雅荒凉我未安，月和馀雪夜吟寒。

相门相客应相笑，得句胜于得好官。

 

My Soft Chanting by Zheng Gu (Tang Dynasty)

 

Girt by the desolate verses, my unrest doth grow,

I softly chant to the lingering moonlit snow.

Though statesmen and their disciples may scoff at me,

A high rank my beautiful poesy will out-glow.
