《雪梅》（其二）－ 卢梅坡

 

有梅无雪不精神，

有雪无诗俗了人。

日暮诗成天又雪，

与梅并作十分春。

 

A Quatrain by Lu Meipo

(Snow and Wintersweet)

 

Wintersweet will lose spirit sans snowfall,

When snow falls, it dulls if no verse at all.

A snow-evoked verse comes at snowy dusk,

Which with wintersweet will perfect spring’s thrall.
