七绝·故乡 – 孟朝岗

 

少小离家世情薄，故乡人事几寥落。

独惟檐下旧玄禽，迎我归来声似昨。

(My Hometown)

 

Too young to care, I left my kith and kin behind,

So, few familiar faces linger in my mind.

Upon returning, under the eaves of my home,

Only warm welcome of swallows unchanged I find.
