静脉注射维生素C来对付新冠病毒的临床试验正在进行，结果还不清楚。但有个案报道维生素C注射可以熄灭由于免疫治疗而引发的细胞因子风暴。文献1的报道病人肺积水，血氧降低 ，但每六小时一次的维生素C （剂量： 22 mg/Kg） 静脉注射挽救了患者的生命。该案虽然病因与新冠病毒不同，但关键症状相似。 另有文献2 报道静脉注射维生素C在 50 到 200 mg/kg的范围内安全 。
