我道晚安是在白天 -

译记:狄金森在这首诗里与朋友依依惜别。
在第一节中,朋友向诗人道别说:“再见”。尽管那是在白天,诗人却回应到:“晚安”。
第二节第一行说明为什么诗人会在白天说“晚安”。朋友离开,对于诗人来说就像漫漫黑夜。
后三行则回味着朋友的来访,比之为早晨美丽的曙光。
