嗨，每个口渴的人

Ho, everyone that thirsteth
And hath the price to give,
Come to the stolen waters,
Drink and your soul shall live.
Come to the stolen waters,
And leap the guarded pale,
And pull the flower in season
Before desire shall fail.
It shall not last for ever,
No more than earth and skies;
But he that drinks in season
Shall live before he dies.
June suns, you cannot store them
To warm the winter’s cold,
The lad that hopes for heaven
Shall fill his mouth with mould.

* 豪斯曼的这首诗是诗集《更多的诗歌》中的第 22 首。 在这首诗里，豪斯曼引用了几段《圣经》中的话，但是改变了原意。《圣经》 说:
“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” (Isaiah 55:1)
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:17)
“你们一切干渴的都当就近水来，没有银钱的也可以来。你们都来，买了吃，不 用银钱，不用价值，也来买酒和奶。” (以赛亚书 55:1)
“圣灵和新娘都说: ‘来!”’ 听见的人也要说: ‘来!’ 口渴的人也要来! 愿意的人 都要白白接受生命的水!” (启示录 22:17)
“Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” (Proverbs 9:17)
“偷来的水是甜的，暗中吃的饼是香的!” (箴言 9:17)
《圣经》中的原意是，口渴的人都可以来喝水，不用钱。但是在诗中，诗人说: “每个口渴的人，只要你有足够的钱”。《圣经》中说:“偷来的水是甜的。”那是说不 正当的事对人总会有一种诱惑力。但诗人鼓励人们说:“翻过围着的篱藩”，“到‘偷来的水’这边来，喝吧，你的灵魂就能续延。”
全诗的意思还是与豪斯曼其他一些诗的主题一样: 生命不会无限制地延续，所 以必须及时行乐。即使是“偷来的水”，只要能延续生命，也应该去饮用; 当令的鲜花也赶快去采摘，因为欲望不会永远不消散。诗人还说: “及时饮水的，就会活到老死的 时间”，而那些 “期望上天堂的家伙”，则只能“用土将他的嘴填满”。
原诗四节，每节四句。译诗双句押 [an/ian/u?an] 韵。
