Melian和Elwe的牵手相遇

Tolkien的世界真有意思。

在精灵们第一次从中土迁徙到undying land的途中，一个精灵部落的王Elwe在树林中偶遇了令他魔怔的化为精灵身体的Maiar Melian，正在树林中唱歌。Melian是Yavanna派来，给中土世界带来歌声和教会小鸟们唱歌的神。不知内情的Elwe情不自禁的上去握住了Melian的手。然后，他们就一言不发地手拉手在林中空地，星空的照耀下，任凭时间从他们身边流逝。书里说，"She spoke no word; but being filled with love Elwë came to her and took her hand, and straightway a spell was laid on him, so that they stood thus while long years were measured by the wheeling stars above them; and the trees of Nan Emloth grew tall and dark before they spoke any word."

今天我忽然想起这个典故，再想一下，到底这个spell是多少年过去了他们才互相问好？因为Elwe的族人费了很多年到处找都找不到他。问了下Google，说这个spell是300年。
