这一年的生辰，谢谢朋友的分享（http://www.meetup.com/The-spirit-in-seasons/messages/boards/）。我也有机会重新学习了中国传统的过年习俗。分享和总结如下：

中国过年三大步：开门(Opening the spiritual gateway)，送旧（Cleansing)和迎新 (New Year)。

开门，我的个人理解，指的是打开心门。可以通过燃香，点烛开始唤起，共三天。

Feb 1 (Lunar: Dec 23): Invoke the inner sacredness/inner light through the Angel of Fire so that we can connect to God. It reminds us our deeds and thoughts so that we can stay on the positive and right path. (迎灶神）

Feb 2 (Lunar: Dec 24): Clean within and without. （扫除：屋内屋外和心灵）

1. Physically, clean the house through body movement

2. Psychologically, let go of the past, let go of the old so that a new psychological space can be created to embrace the Great Beginning

Feb 3 (Lunar: Dec 25): Awakening: symbolize the transcendence of life through the light. We see the God coming to this world if we turn on the inner light and open our heart. When we change our perspective, we change the world around us. （开心扉）

送旧 (Cleansing), 也要三天。

Feb 4 (Lunar: Dec 26): FuLu Shower Day (沐浴福禄日）- Symbolize the connection to the eternal source of life

Feb 5 (Lunar: Dec 27): 洗疚疾 - Wash away the inner guilt, sadness and sorrow. Bring the fresh living water from the mountain top, the life can be upgraded to new version each year. Open heart and allow the light to come.

Feb 6 (Lunar: Dec 28): 洗邋遢 - Cleanse our unclean deeds, procrastination and laziness. Now we shift our consciousness to actions. Use deeds to transform our minds. Use incense to establish the initial connection to the beyond (heaven or God)

Every action will have an eternal impact on your life.

穿越时空，祭天地祭先祖，直到除夕夜，一到两天。

Feb 7 - 8 （Lunar: Dec 29, Dec 30): Invite our ancestors to celebrate together - Remember me so that you can know yourself. This is the end of darkness.

迎新 (New Year)

Feb 9 (Lunar: Jan 1): New Year. Life starts from the seed of light. 金鸡报晓，listen, hear, watch, follow and enlighten.
