I can't judge her, but to me she's always been one of the most beautiful and sexy women in cinema. Her charisma and her eyes can scare the hell out of a man. I once met a woman as her. It feels like falling into the oblivion when she goes by.Frank Sinatra got burned by her. But we should be careful not to do rash judgements against her. RIP.
You can’t keep blaming others for your inadequacies, failures and BAD DECISIONS. Or drug and alcohol abuse. If somebody is dragging you down LEAVE !! I learned early in life that nobody can make you feel bad about yourself UNLESS YOU LET THEM !!!!!!!!!!! Take control of your life !!!And stop with the bad boys. Women, including Ava, know who they are.
Re- The drunk dating story of driving with Frank and shooting out lights and storefront windows with his 38? I mean, how could a relationship that began like that ever become violent??? ;-)Moreover, Bob Mitchum was not only a smart guy to exit dating her once he found out Frank was involved... he was a very, very cool guy.
He lived in the same community and I would see him from time to time. A number of other actors have the reputation of being a smooth, cool guy.... but for me it was Mitchum 100%. At a dinner with my father years ago, his response to a question was ; "Doc, I've done it all.", and I'm sure that was a every accurate statement!
In the end, she was a woman, and thus suffered from the bad choices she made in men due to hypergamy and chasing the bad boy. The paradox is that the woman who can have any man chases the men who can have any woman. Not the other way around. And those men run through these women, leaving them broken and alone, or to finally settle with a man who will be a good partner but whom she never really desires. Look at all her choices: either very successful men or bad boys, or both. The fact that she and Lana Turner both had relationships with the same man twice highlights my point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyD8pOpilNY
