喜欢热闹中求安静，安静里凑热闹，矛盾不已。
So it’s Saturday. I was sitting there, side by side with the four fine ladies whom I had been involuntarily (ok, I meant voluntarily) bumping into each week. After a couple of embarrassing stumbling, I had to crawl out of the skating rink and I was sweating like a dog. I hated that stinking smell of myself. But somehow I had to sit close to 风儿 and pretend that I was so interested and involved in their Italian trip conversation, while I was really craving for a nice hot shower…
It sounded like Italian was such a poetic and crazily romantic place. They made me feel that I committed a serious, unforgivable sin since I missed the Accademia and Uffizi last time I was in Florence. Obviously, Renaissance was REDISCOVERED by our ladies due to the unbelievably firm butt of Michelangelo. The details of it were just incredible, nothing like the obscure pictures they saw in the magazines, so the ladies said.
Then tonight, I got the following email from my buddy, who is unfortunately still trapped somewhere in Italy. It’s quite an anti-climax from what I had just heard on Saturday.
If you don’t mind the grammatical mistakes here and there, it actually makes good reading. So enjoy:
Except drinking wine and beer on the side streets of Florence and Rome, and getting really good spaghetti(i found the cooking in Florence more italian than those in Rome), i do not find italy exciting. Venice simply was too crowded. Rome is a bunch of old ruin and again crowded like hell. Florence was nice only if you looked down from the clock tower or whatever its name is. yeah, statue of david could be attractive if you are a medical student who enjoy cutting bodies.
anyway, i will still have two nights left in Rome and afterwards, will go to that village on the cliff and visit Pisa tower or whatever. my wife arranged the whole trip and so far, besides the wine and beer, i have no clue where i have been and where i will go. If we remove the old bricks and ruins from Rome, you will feel like you are in Manhattan. so far, i have not seen no pick pocketers yet and i guess they smell dangers from my drunken yet snaky eyes. i told people in the bar that, if the pick pocketers go to nyc, they will be rob right there.
boy ah boy, the girls in italy are soooooo........ hot and pretty making me want to dump my wife right here and marry an italian girl. one thing for sure, we do not see fat ugly women here at all. all pretty and stylish. with the wine and itchy eyes, what else can i ask for! plus, just found that sd is on its way to 15 this time.
