My aunt gave me this recipe when my daughter was 1 year old, so I can made this for her birthday. Let me type the recipe again
1 cup lard, 1 cup sugar, 2 ½ cups flour, (you may add a bit more flour if dough seems too soft). 1 tea spoon cream of tartar, ½ tea spoon salt, 1 tea spoon baking SODA, 2 tea spoon almond extract, 1 egg (add last & save some to brush on top of cookie before baking) .
Whisk all the dry ingredients then add lard ,almond extract, egg, (do not over mix the dough)
Bake 350F about 20 minutes. Yield: 5 ½ doz (varies with size of cookie)
Note: you can use sesame seed or coconut flakes.

醃金桔 2/26/2008, clean the 金桔 put salt all over, if necessary add some cold water, and put in the dry and dark place.

I preserve this 四季桔 in the year of 2000, I put this四季桔 in the refrigerator after 1 year. (ppl told me if you got a sore throat, you can make tea to drink , you will feel better ) knock on wood, I never get sore throat since the year of 2000 :)
