笨宝宝进天才班

麻州没有传统意义上的天才班。宝宝的学校有一个math enhancement program，每个年级选十来个孩子，在正常的数学课时间出去学一些深一点的内容。宝宝最要好的朋友从学前班开始就在这个项目里，据他妈妈说，这就相当于我们这里的天才班了。

我的数学很差，高考满分120我只有五十几分，宝宝遗传不好，对数学也不怎么感冒,前三年都和这个天才班无缘。人比人，气死人啊。

 今年宝宝上三年级，开学没几天拿回来张纸，说是被推荐上天才班啦。老妈美坏了，真给妈妈长脸。抱过来左啃右啃，宝宝还不领情，说：“I hate math!  Now I have to do double math!”

 3个月的过去，发现笨孩子上天才班真是有苦说不出！想当年宝宝放学十分钟作业搞定，他玩他的游戏，丁丁和妈妈玩妈妈的游戏，现在天天晚上鸡飞狗跳，鬼哭狼嚎。

 选两道今天的题为例。

Case 1 – 妈妈会做的题：

Jenny and her parents went to the amusement park.  They left home at 1:00pm and return at 9:00pm.  The park is 1 hour drive away from their home.  How long did they stay in the park?

宝宝答：“10 hours。” 

我耐心启发。

宝宝再答：“12 hours。”

我再启发。

“8 hours？”

再再再启发！

“7 hours？”

“你就蒙吧！”

丁丁开始咬宝宝。宝宝打丁丁，我骂宝宝，宝宝哭，丁丁咬我，我和丁丁搏斗。。。

Case 2 – 妈妈不会的题：

Santa lost the gift list for the 5 children lived on 500 block of  Brentwood Lane.  He had in his pack a magic kit, a Monopoly game, art supplies, a science kit, and a Lego set.

Here are the clues:

1)      The house numbers were 500, 504, 510, 516 and 520.

2)      The building materials for the houses were bricks, stucco, wood siding, aluminum siding and shingles.

3)      The colors of the houses were white, yellow, red, brown, and blue.

4)      The names of the children were Jacob, Anja, Lauren, Sean, and Raja.

5)      The brick house was built with red bricks.

6)      The house with the wood siding was between Anja’s house and Sean’s houses.

7)      The house with shingles was between Raja’s house and Jacob’s house.

8)      The address of the stucco house was 520 Brentwood Lane
9)      The last names of the children are Riley, Moran, Seitner, Cohen, and Solanka.

10)  Anja and Raja had last names that begin with S.

11)  Cohen lived between Seitner and Sean

12)  Raja lived between Lauren and Seitner.

13)  Moran’s house address was a lower number than Solanka’s.

14)  Lauren, Raja, and Anja lived in houses the colors of the American flag.

15)  Anja and Sean lived next door to the yellow house

16)  The white house was between Lauren’s and Anja’s.

17)  The address of the blue house was 510 Brentwood Lane.
18)  Lauren’s house had the lowest number address.

19)  The lego set belonged at the house with the shingles.

20)  The Monopoly game went to the house with the lowest address.

21)  The art supplies belonged in the house between the red and blue houses.

22)  The child who lived at 520 Brentwood Lane got the science kit.
23)  The magic kit needed to go in the house next to the stucco house.

Question:

Write the first and last name of each child who should receive each gift.

 老妈我看了一遍两遍三四遍, 然后很严肃的告诉宝宝: “不做完不许睡觉!” 然后刷牙去也。
