女皇准备派 Wessex 勋爵去开发佛吉尼亚，Viola De Lesseps 是他的皇配妻子。那日，女皇召见 Viola， 问其所好，答"诗词／话剧", 便有了与女皇的争执。

伊丽莎白女皇: 写话剧的人不能教会我们任何有关爱情的事情，他们只是让它很美丽，或很喜剧，或很放荡，但他们无法让其真实。
Viola （De Lesseps )： 但他们可以做到！
(Queen Elizabeth: Playwrights teach us nothing about love. They make it pretty, they make it comical, or they make it lust, but they cannot make it true.

为了讨好女皇，Wesses 勋爵与莎士比亚打了一个赌：50英镑。
女皇说: 50英镑，是一大笔赌注，与赌的事情相配：一部话剧能否向人们展示爱情真实特点？ 我是这个赌注的见证人和揭晓时判官。到目前为止，我还没看到任何结论。
(Queen Elizabeth: Fifty pounds! A very worthy sum on a very worthy question. Can a play show us the very truth and nature of love? I bear witness to the wager, and will be the judge of it as occasion arises. I have not seen anything to settle it yet.)

视频中对话最后，女皇告诉 Wessex 勋爵，"... but you are a lordly fool, she has been plucked since I saw her last -- and not by you. It takes a woman to know it."
