本年度是抗日战争胜利八十周年,不少人趁清明时节前往各地的抗日阵亡纪念碑或墓地向那些为国捐躯的英烈扫墓,并致敬意。
有网红博主也趁机宣传在云南保山龙陵县的松山战役纪念碑内娃娃兵阵塑像作了过份的解读,说是有7000多娃娃被强征入伍,1000余娃娃兵阵亡。当然也有人搜集数据予以反驳,希望能还完及尊重历史。据称找不到数据及资料支持前者的说法。
刚好在澳洲早年的英文报纸上有来自战地记者发的新闻及图片,特供参考及与松山战役纪念碑陵园内娃娃兵的衣物作一比较。

Chinese youths, serving with the Chinese Sixth Army, carry supplies for the offensive against the Japanese m the Salween River area, Yunnan Province. Chinese women and children are doing their part in bringing defeat to the Japanese. Many of the best soldiers in the Chinese; Armies are youngsters in their teens. Chinese forces west of the Salween River drove toward a junction with U.S. Lieutenant General Joseph W. Stilwell troops in Burma. Paying tribute to the Chinese Armies, Gen. Stilwell said, on July 17, 1944, that Chinese troops "have confounded their critics and delighted their friends by their steady determined advance which has gone on now for six months ... to a line that had once "seemed hopeless to attempt to reach".
