《Call me by your name》，这部电影先是看的小说版，然后看电影。很显然这是一部必须看过原著才能充分领会作者深邃用心的电影，如果不看《call me by your name》的原著，你会忽略很多细节，甚至看不懂，比如Elio对Olive的迷恋其实是从哪个美式的“later”开始，其中代表着一种桀骜不驯，一种特立独行，和一种难以琢磨，而在影片中只能感觉到Elio是被Olive的外貌吸引。此后的很多的心理戏也是非小说不能阐释清楚的，Elio为什么在渴望Olive的同时却更加迫切地与女友玛奇娅求欢，Elio在和Olive第一次发生了关系后，第二天为什么忽然变得冷淡和厌倦....
《断背山》的原著和电影无论是剧情还是表现力都不需要互为补充，同样属于同性恋爱情题材，同样属于始于青春的激情之爱，同样是唯美的真爱和遗憾的结局，《call me by your name》和《断背山》却有着非常迥异的故事脉络和表达主旨，同性之爱也完全可以带入到异性恋中，小说作者和导演对于爱情的阐释打动了观众的心。
中文将《call me by your name》翻译为《恋人絮语》其实也很贴切，因为这个故事不单单讲述的是同性恋的故事，更好的说是一场刻骨铭心的初恋。当片子结尾Elio趴在炉火前，默默饮泣，那忧伤的画面久久地刻印在我的心中。每一个失去都是一个刀口，它会在岁月中愈合，也会在阴雨绵绵的天气中带来阵阵隐痛。

我们只能拥有一次我们的身体和心灵。但很多人都期望尽可能的多拥有，一个是想象的生活，一个是现实的版本，还有的就是介于两者之间.....但无论怎样选择，我们终究只有一个人生，而在我们明白这个道理之前，我们的心就已经苍老了。至于身体，总有一天没有人愿意再看到，没有人愿意再靠近。现在我感到遗憾，我不羡慕痛苦本身，但我羡慕你会痛。
