22M01，这是2022第一马。也是去年2月以来，一年之内的第19个马拉松。更是休士顿马拉松的50周年，非常荣幸来休士顿参加这个盛大庆典。

得克萨斯共和国地图形状。

得克萨斯有两个德国那么大。伟大的德州。

在休士顿的Rice大学， 肯尼迪总统发表了史诗级的登月演讲，激励了我这么多年。每次回响在耳边，都热泪盈眶，热血沸腾。每当马拉松到了最艰难的时刻，这也是我心中默念的信念：

....We choose to go to the Moon

in this decade and do the other things,

not because they are easy,

but because they are hard ... ...

阿波罗11号发射。当时现场周围观众有100万人。世界各地都瞩目这一瞬间。

Why Houston?

在8英里的地方，往右一转，看到一条双向的林荫大道，上面盖着厚厚的树冠，尽头无限。我好像这哪个电影里看过，deja vu? 还是梦中？ 突然意识到，不是梦，我们已经跑进Rice 的主校园了。我来过的啊。

今天休士顿天气晴好，风景秀丽。非常喜欢这个城市，现代化，气派非凡。也非常喜欢休士顿马拉松，可以说是我最喜欢的十个马拉松之一。像个小芝加哥马拉松。路程平坦，也比较冷，起跑温度34度。风大，12到14mph. 很容易出成绩，我今天跑得非常好。但是，怎么着也是个马拉松。Why we run marathons? Not because they are easy, but because they are hard.

But why, some say, the Moon? Why choose this as our goal?

And they may well ask, why climb the highest mountain? Why, 35 years ago, fly the Atlantic? Why does Rice play Texas?

We choose to go to the Moon. We choose to go to the Moon...We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things,

not because they are easy, but because they are hard;

because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills,

because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too

50多年前，美国人就成功登月并返回了。以那时的科学及计算机技术来讲，人类登月真是一件异想天开的事情。人类为什么会有这样的雄心壮志呢？
