You should be happy, not psycho-schizophrenia, if you can NOT do both roles, i.e., schizophrenia.

14 hours ago The instructor told her that she plays the white swan perfectly but she's not getting the Black Swan so to to play the Black Swan role perfectly, the only option in her mind was to to transform yourself in character and kill herself - Her Obsession was perfection and that was her downfall I also think she had some kind of mental disorder, maybe even schizophrenia, because her mother showed signs of mental instability.

5 days ago The ending, where Nina says that she felt perfection, always makes me tear up. To be a woman is to perform and to be perfect, and to be perfect is to destroy oneself. 268 Reply 8 replies [@sohlart]

12 hours ago @sonyarichardson000 it’s not about striving for less or discouraging betterment; as humans, we should always be looking to grow, learn, and improve ourselves. however this “perfection” is something that is quite unattainable, but is constantly being pushed onto us. that dichotomy is what is destructive. 1 Reply [@madtheghost337]

8 days ago The acting in this movie is a 10/10, from all characters, but especially Natalie. The direction too, was incredible. Aronofsky is as insane as Kubrick.
All of that Nina, for one moment of perfection. It was PERFECT. He took a world of her soul, mind and psychosis and brought it to the surface with the final scene that now the entire ballet company could see. Perfection has its price. Incredible film. Her final thought, personified into a million moments. I could watch the black swan transformation over and over.

6 days ago Astounding performances BRAVO! I dated a Ballerina briefly...That struggle is VERY REAL! Kat you are an amazing person I'm sorry life was so tough on you, I feel your pain that you expressed to me but I was unable to grasp until watching this portrayal of life on the stage, all the pressures and games... I salute you all who are in this field of the arts a most difficult and impossible task to be perfect. Great movie and that Oscar was earned Natalie and cast! Bravo!

5 days ago Love it. Ballerinas really do go through these tumultuous times. But at the end of the day, it’s all you boo. No one is getting in your way and no one is stopping you. It’s all you. Do you know what you’re capable of?

11 hours ago I see my self in Nina...... makes me reflect that perfection does exist . As an "artist" perfection is demanded can be delivered but not at this expense ... thanks Nina for stopping me from ending up like you.

2 days ago Natalie just said on WWHL last week that she thought Jackie should have won her the Oscar, not Black Swan. Highly disagree. She was a TOUR-DE-FORCE in this.
what does it mean "tOUR-DE-FORCE?" ChatGPT ChatGPT
"Tour de force" is a French expression that translates to "feat of strength" or "triumph of strength" in English. It is used to describe a remarkable or outstanding achievement, often in the fields of art, literature, sports, or any other endeavor that requires great skill and prowess.

6 days ago I preferred Natalie Portman in The Other Boleyn Girl as opposed to The Black Swan. This movie was so grotesque majority of the film. Leading up to the end it was beautiful how she transformed into a black swan. It was a little confusing at times identifying what was really happening. The Other Boleyn Girl was more clear as far as its ultimate objective. My only question for this film was, in theater it's not just for "One" show. She's cast as the lead for the entire run...it could be days....or even months...right??

It's really too bad real ballet dancers can't appreciate this movie. Like the girl in this movie, they all seem hung up on the technique (she didn't really dance, her facial expressions are wrong, this is not realistic) instead of appreciating the psychosodrama and symbolism behind it. It makes one think deeper about the story of swan lake rather than the visual of the ballet.
Why do j feel like the teacher jerk dude gave her the part of the Swan only to say fuck you in a way bc he knew how much of a perfectionist she was and that it would make her mad?

2 days ago The only thing I dislike about this movie is that Natalie Portman is NOT a dancer. She trained for 6 months to prepare for the role but the actual footwork and dancing was never credited to the ballerina who ACTUALLY did it.
