I'm doing stuff for peer-review; a friend dropped by chatting about his resurrection upon reading his icon model - 什么叫精致利己主义精英?

My take was you're swamped in seas of and got lost in information, education can't help/guide. What can you have? it's your“intuition” and “hunches” as acceptable guides to life decisions.
Never misled by "elites" - so?
William Deresiewicz: "Probably people have always tried to plan their lives in some way to the extent that they can. I mean, who wouldn’t? But I do think the tendency has become hypertrophied among the contemporary
upper-middle-class: the idea that life can be rendered predictable, reduced to an orderly succession of
achievements that will guarantee security and comfort. Breaking students out of that
mentality,
getting them to understand that a successful life necessarily involves a degree of uncertainty
and risk, as well as of serendipity and intuition, is one of the most important functions that

"蒋公给胡适的任务是【去美国进行抗战宣传。】胡适之到了美国后怎么做的呢？鬼子侵华采取三光政策，胡适之在鬼子侵华期间任驻美大使采取四不政策：【不宣传，不借款，不买军火，不办救济事业】。
那位说了，李爷，胡适之外交“四不政策”，不等于啥事不做吗？六不了哈！那他整天在美国干嘛？
答：忙着逮波斯猫 (博士帽)。
1939年，哥伦比亚大学授予胡适之名誉法学博士。
1940年，美国8所大学分别授予胡适8个名誉法学博士学位。

1942年是胡适又弄了10顶博士帽，都是美国大学授予的。

所以，1942年，蒋公说：【胡适乃今日文士名流之典型，而其患得患失之结果，不惜借外国之势力，以自固其地位，甚至损害国家威信而亦在所不惜。】
1960年10月13日，蒋公在日记里写道：【此人实为一个最无品格之文化买办，无以名之，只可名曰‘狐仙’，乃为害国家，为害民族文化之蟊贼。】
1962年3月3日“上星期反省录”，蒋公写道：【胡适之死，在革命事业与民族复兴的建国思想言，乃除了障碍也。】
蒋公的眼光啊！！！真准！"

胡适在他的《宣统与胡适》一文那句“他称我先生，我称他皇上”，也佐证了胡适之的兴奋之情和骄傲之感。 老骄傲了！皇上叫我先生！我喊他皇上！皇上起身迎接我，我鞠躬谢皇上！
“皇上”召见“先生”后，胡先生给庄士敦写信#泪纷飞#：
“不得不承认，我很为这次召见所感动。我当时竟能在我国最末一代皇帝——历代伟大的君主的最后一位代表的面前，占一席位！”
这，就是新文化运动的领袖胡适之，在废帝面前的表现——活脱脱的一奴才！奴颜婢膝！
为此，直到1931年10月，上海《申报》还恶搞了胡适之，登载《蒋召见胡适之》。鲁迅鲁大爷看到这则恶搞后，趁机恶搞了下胡适之。鲁大爷下手，比李大爷狠啊！各位瞧瞧：
“中国向来的老例，做皇帝做牢靠和做倒霉的时候，总要和文人学士扳一下子相好。做牢靠的时候是‘偃武修文’，粉饰粉饰；做倒霉的时候是又以为他们真有‘治国平天下’的大道。当‘宣统皇帝’逊位到坐得无聊的时候，我们的胡适之博士曾经尽过这样的任务（鲁大爷下手，狠啊！）。见过以后，也奇怪，人们不知怎的先问他们怎样的称呼，博士曰：‘他叫我先生，我叫他皇上。’现在没有人问他怎样的称呼。为什么呢？因为是知道的，这回是‘我称他主席嘛（很明显恶搞胡适之的【他称我先生，我称他皇上……】’。安徽大学校长刘文典教授，因为不称‘主席’而关了好多天，好容易才交保出外，老同乡，旧同事，博士当然是知道的，所以，‘我称他主席’。（《二心集·知难行难》）

所谓【新文化中旧道德的楷模】，就是胡适之找了小三，又糟糠之妻不下堂 (胡适在杭州，与曹诚英同居。原来胡适在同江冬秀婚礼的时候，就看中了比自己小11岁的伴娘曹诚英。曹怀孕了，为了所谓真正的爱情，离婚了，北上找胡适，逼婚。同现在小三逼婚一个节奏， 这就是蒋公挽联【旧伦理中新思想的师表】的来源。[ok]) ((：【兔子不吃窝边草】。胡博士可好，专啃窝边草！曹诚英是胡适三嫂的妹妹，胡适江冬秀婚礼的伴娘。我们的胡博士在婚礼上就盯上了窝边草！徐志摩妻朋友妻，胡博士啃窝边草！果然好基友，靠的！
