Fixing a Charger for a Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
The charger for a cordless vacuum cleaner is broken. There is no DC output on the connector from the charger:
Use two pin adapters (below, left, red and black) for the multimeter probes (below, right):
Measured DC output from the wires of the charger (power supply ) side, is OK:
Measured the DC output on wires from the terminal side on the vacuum cleaner, is also OK:
Measured DC voltate with the positive output (black probe) in the terminal and negative wire (red probe) from the pin connector, is also OK:
But if both probes are in the terminal side, it will not work (the picture is the first one) :
So, there is no connection between the negative terminal (*) and the pin adapter of negative wire (**)Use this function with beeping sound:
Cut the top plastic terminal with a knife:
The copper wire (negative) is exposed (green circle, sorry, not focused):
Then cut a piece of copper stripe (lower part) from a copper sheet (top part):
Take the brass tube out from the negative terminal:
Put one side of the copper stripe into the negative terminal and also put the brass tube back into the negative terminal:
Use a hammer to put the brass tube in:
Now the brass tube is in and then bend the other end of the stripe to the exposed negative wire (notice the exposed copper wire in green arrow):
Wrap the terminal with electric tape:
Finished terminals:
It is done:
Plug it in the vacuum cleaner:
It works:
