Dear Lin,

It really brightens my eye, makes my day, when I read this post of
yours, which has immediately brought some golden memories to my mind.

His songs, so acclaimed, had once sung for then China leader Deng,
also, won the world popularity. Undoubtedly, loved by many young then.
When there was no Mp3 stuff of high Tech, a song of tis sort, mimicry
sang, word by word, copied, heard from many times from the single
speaker recorders, had been the amazing joy that young people back at
the time had in their mind, can be till in their recalls deeply, and
sweetly now and then.

原诗十分流畅，翻译后恐怕演唱对音节的处理是十分困难的，某种意义上说吟唱诗歌是不能翻译的。 要翻那是语言地操练而已！意境的熏陶罢了！

时间一晃就是二十多年了，谣想当时初听这首歌曲的时候，顿时被他独特叙事的演唱和忧郁的意境捕获，尤其是他的伤感的嗓音竟让歌声永久刻入记忆·的磁盘，生活中每每步入机场，耳边就会有传来低低地吟唱，和离开家乡的莫名惆怅。

那首‘高高的洛基山’ ‘rocky mountain high’ 他用独特嗓音高昂嘹亮清脆的嗓音，带人们到‘高高的洛基山脉，仿佛山泉在流淌，青草的绿波不停翻滚，牛羊徜祥，蓝天白云，天高气爽，

那时好像没有 Mp3， 一首歌曲，需要很多的猜想模仿，一旦会唱，身边就会有姑娘。一旦上台，掌声比歌曲还响。那也是个夏日的晚上，一个女孩腼腆地送来手抄的 一首 ‘故乡的路’ 心中的感激，至今难忘，如果像现在这般，一定拉拉她的手，将她的脸庞亲个响。

"Leaving on a Jet Plane" is a song written by John
Denver in 1967 during a layover at an airport in Washington and
recorded by the Mitchell Trio that year. The original title of the
song was "Oh Babe I Hate To Go" but Denver's then producer, Milt Okun,
convinced him to change the title. Denver wrote the song after his
