得意地说，很是不错：

 

In 2007 I went to with my wife to visit China. 

2007 我跟太太在中国。

I had never been to China before.

我以前 没有在 中国。

At that time I only  could say “Yi dian dian” because I only knew “yi dian dian” Chinese.

当时 我 只会 说 “一 点点”因为 我 知道 一点让中文。

We first flew to Beijing where my wife had some friends.

先 我们 坐 飞机 到 北京。在那儿我太太有有的朋友。

During dinner one night, my wife and her friends taught me how to say one new sentence and some new words.

在晚饭的时候 我太太 和她 朋友教我说一篇句子和些 新词。

They taught me to say: I eat spicy.

他们 教我 “我吃辣的”。

Later we flew to Shanghai.

我们 坐飞机 去上海到 以后。

My wife had a business meeting, and I had to go find lunch for myself.

我太太有了一个开会， 所以我自己 得找了午饭。

I found a restaurant that looked OK, but the menu had no english.

我 找 了 一 家 饭馆 看 不错， 但是他们 的 菜单没有英语。

 

There were only Chinese here, no foreigners.

在这儿有只中国人，没有了外国

Their menu had lots of pictures, so I pointed to a chicken dish.

他们 的词典 有了很多照片， 所以我对着 一个肌肉菜。

I heard the waitress say “blah blah blah la?”

我听了服务员说 “blah blah blah la?”

我只知道“辣”。

I told her “yi dian dian lada”.

我 告诉 她 “一点点辣的”。

The dish tasted very good!

那个才很不错了！
