Came back from two-days-long trail hiking in Appalachian without blackberry and laptop and found out you made your mind to “throw the towel”. For some reason, I was saddened by overwhelmed uneasiness. Could our collectively claimed high moral grounds suffocate you in the assumingly freer cyber space? What a pity.
Wrote a poem to bid farewell.
Rose Bush in June
You were bursting into the garden
during this young, tender summer,
to blossom all of sudden
for bestowing pride and color.
Fresh fragrance and unyielding boldness were arousing the attentions
that summoned lingering, envy admirers,
Yet, thorny stems were unmistaken
to challenge many, even a bystander.
Now seeing the frail petals fallen
onto the ground without shelter.
Many hearts are riddled with the burning question,
Are the crushing thunderstorms or unmerciful sun rays that made you wither?
There could be many tangling reasons,
well, only the rose bush itself knows the answer.
Could be the falling pieces of the flower are only fears to be unburdened?
Maybe growing hope and dream inside you soon give surprise again in near future.
