The summer night glowed; in the field, fireflies were glinting./

And for those who understood such things, the stars were sending messages:/

You will leave the village where you were born/

and in another contry you'll become very rich, very powerful,/在他国获得财富和权势

but always you will mourn something you left behind, even though you can't say what it was, /但你将为留在身后的伤怀,即使不知道那是什么

and everntually you wil return to seek it.

Omens

I rode to meet you: dreams

like living beings swarmed around me

and the moon on my right side

followed me, burning.

I rode back: everything changed.

My soul in love was sad

and the moon on my left side

trailed me without hope.

To such endless impressions

we poets give ourselves absolutely,

making, in silence, omen of mere event,

untill the world reflects the deepest needs of the soul.
