成诗的脉络 - 里尔克 “亚当”

之三：诗人里尔克旅行的时候，圣经是他随身带的两本书之一。他的一些诗直接取材于圣经，这就提供了一个了解他如何写诗的入口，所以做个尝试：对照圣经翻译这部分诗，以寻求诗人成诗的脉络。这首“亚当”应该是诗人注视某个教堂的亚当雕塑所成，把这个人类始祖离开伊甸园最后一刻的决绝，凝聚成出人意料的一句：“She will bear/她会生养”，完美地将读者视线转到另一首诗“夏娃”，她的雕像就坐落于亚当目光的方向。

Adam/亚当

He, on the cathedral’s steep ascent,

stands and stares near where the window-rose is,

as if awed by the apotheosis

which, when it had reached its full extent,
