宗教与绘画-3：有女初长成

书接上文，若亚敬（Saint Joachim）和安妮（Saint Anne），为了感谢上帝赐予他们一个新生女儿，从一开始就决定让玛利亚（Mary, mother of Jesus）一生侍奉上帝。

在她三岁的那年，十一月二十一日（November 21），他们把小玛利亚带到了耶路撒冷的圣殿。在下面的九年里，她将一直在圣殿里生活学习成长，直到十二岁。

这一段故事，名叫「献圣母于主堂」（Presentation of Mary）。

在传统的细节里，小玛利亚把父母，圣若亚敬和圣安妮，留在了台阶的底层。

她三岁的小姑娘，一个人跨上了长长的台阶，坚定的走了上去。她的身躯弱小从容，她的脸色平安喜乐。

在台阶顶端的大主教（Zechariah）欢迎她的到来。大家都很喜欢她（”and all the house of Israel loved her“）。
