我这算不算借钱给人？

坛子里在讨论借钱不借钱的话题，让我想起了这桩事。

多年以前在国内时认识了一女孩T，亲戚朋友给介绍的，见了两次面后就没有继续下去。后来都忙着准备出国留学，相互有一些联系。

我的留学签证先办出来了。那时候凭签证可以去兑换一些美元，她让我去外滩的中国银行总部去办理，她妈妈在那里上班。那天那阿姨待我非常的热情。

我来美国一学期后，收到了她从美国国内寄来的信，说她刚到，好像是在东北部哪个州上学。按她留的电话我联系到了她。一个女孩子孤零零地刚到一个陌生的国家，电话中我能感觉出那一丝不安全感。

放下电话后我有一种心疼的感觉，总觉得应该帮她点什么，来安安她的心。我自己体会留学的前半年是最艰难的，可又离得这么远，就寄了张支票给她。我说得很婉转：知道你现在不需要，这个留着哪天做急用。

那时候我当助教一个月工资七百多刀，能力也很有限，比起付外州学费的她还是宽裕一些。之后大家各忙各的，也没更多的联系。

大约一年以后收到了她一封信，里面是我给她的那张支票，和一页感谢的词语。。。我笑了(smiling)，因为我相信这时候她的留学生活已经走上了正轨，心里已经不再有刚来时的那份疑惑和不安了！
