The truck stops at a cemetery that has been completely vandalized. Mutilated corpses are scattered everywhere. The Jewish performers are pushed off the truck. One soldier fires gunshots into the sky. The truck drives away.

The Jewish performers sit on the road and hug each other, crying and laughing. They tend to one performer who has passed out in fear.

EXT. STREETS IN COMMERCIAL AREA -- NIGHT

The gang of Nazis leaves the burning buildings and marches across the street toward the bank.

JACOB KAUFMAN, a banker in his forties, sitting at his desk, signs checks and hands them to his SECRETARY.

JOCOB

Deposit these checks at the Switzerland Bank.

The secretary takes the checks and leaves. Jacob opens the safes, takes out money and documents, and puts them into two big bags.

INT. HALL -- BANK -- NIGHT

Nazis storm the bank. The leading officer strides through the hall, yelling stern commands.

LEADING OFFICER

Seal safes. Freeze assets.

Listening to the fracas outside of his office, Jacob puts on a janitor's uniform and cap.  He flings one bag over his shoulder and carries another in his hand. Before leaving his office, he takes a last look around it.

Jewish homes are sacked and damaged. Splattered on the wrecked walls are the words "Dirty Jews."

EXT. STREETS -- NIGHT

A squad of Nazis executes duties in the streets, arresting Jews and loading them onto trucks. Some Jews are killed while resisting arrest. The corpses are hung from poles.

Hans, stunned, wheels his motorcycle behind trees.

HANS' POV THROUGH TREES

Walter, as the leading officer of the squad, heads toward a group of Jewish WOMEN and CHILDREN, takes his pistol out of its holster and shoots at random. He becomes crazed and monstrous when blood splashes on his face and well decorated uniform.

Most of the victims are killed by the random gunshots. A few WOUNDED PERSONS struggle to get up and flee. Walter shoots them one by one.

Papa, don't go with them. Please stop, don't take my father away.

EMILIA

Mark, Mark. Help, help. Oh, my God, someone helps us.

Emilia passes out and collapses in the street. Anna goes to support her mother.

Hans arrives, rushes to the Nazi soldiers and wrestle down a couple of them.

HANS

Go, Mr. Rosenfeld, go, go, go...

Mark takes off running. A Nazi officer fires and hits him in the shoulder. Mark falls to the ground. Hans grabs the gun from the officer.  He shoots the Nazis and then helps Mark to his feet.
