we finally taughter our girl how to play majiang about a couple months ago after she had learned how to play mexican train.  i think mexican train was a good pre-cause for majiang.  at any rate, it was not that hard to teach her and we have been playing a lot since then.. always on friday eve.. i enjoy friday eve after a whole week of hard working.   she was a good learned and picked up really quick.  so far, there are a few occasions that she really so surprised us.. 1) consecutively winning about 6 times in a row; 2) calls "zi mo" "chu cong to myself"; 3) had a couple times "gang tou kai hua"; 4) one she had "di hu" which was she won in the first run after she picked a card, and immediately "ting zhang", and i just so coincidentially played the card that she needed to win.. so it was really fun to play and see a littel 8 yr old picking up as well.. we pretty much just play la xi hu.   4/24
