Explanation [1]
Peter Bichsel [2]
Translated by xia23
It is snowing in the morning.
Man could have enjoyed it. Man could have built snow hats or snowmen, man could have piled it up as guards in front of the house. The snow is comforting, that is all it is – and it keeps you warm, they say, if you bury yourself in it.
But it sneaks in your shoes, blocks cars, causes trains to derail and makes remote villages lonely.

On Peter Bichsel [3] by Max Frisch [4]
There are simple words, which do not from his mouth, although are regarded as sizeable; he finds them too big. That makes him dealing with certain people not easy, but he can do nothing about it.
Yet he is polite, but incorruptible – that is what I mean, among other things, when I say: Peter Bichsel is a poet.
