Practical Guide [1]

The French cities

Where to travel in France and how to get there without a car? Here are several options among the cities of France.

Lyon

Lyon is connected by TGV [1] to Paris as well as to Lille, Nantes and the entire south France thanks to the TGV Mediterranean. The saint-Exupéry airport is located in 25 km to the east.  It is accessible by highway or TGV and is connected to nearly 30 French cities.

Marseille

The TGV connects Marseille to Paris in 3 hours, 17 times per day. In addition, there are 15 daily connections with Lyon, and 6 with Marne-la-Vallée (EuroDisney) and Roissy.

Toulouse

Airplane remains the principle mean of transport to Toulouse from Paris, with more than 20 daily flights by Air France from Orly and Roissy, as well as 15 flights from Orly, in addition to flights from a dozen provincial cities.

Strasbourg

From Paris and the major regional cities, Air France serves the Strasbourg-Entzheim airport, with 20 regular daily flights.  The SNCF [3] operates multiple connections in both directions between Paris/Gare de l’Est and Strasbourg station. It will take more than 4 hours for a round trip.
