Absolutely, there are two things Must be on your list:

• Find a place,real local tastes, with a few friends of yours or colleagues, then youwill surely enjoy the night, left something in your mind that you cantalk about the city.
• Take a little walk along the the Bund.the water is called "Huang_Pu River" where you sight all the buildingswith multinational styles, mostly shone brightly in the night. 

Guess what? why An lee turned his camera to the city ? Maybe he'strying to discover something, a film about it is called "Lust, andcaution" in 2007 as I could remember.

What I found out for you? Shanghai, an International motif now.
I checked twenty four websites and many other travel guides, above are repeatedly mentioned in various languages.

Oh, take a look out of your window, if your rooms are river-viewing.
