A. Disturbance of consciousness (i.e.,reduced clarity of awareness of the environment) with reduced abilityto focus, sustain, or shift attention.

意识紊乱(如,环境意识的清醒程度降低)导致注意力集中,持续或转换注意力的能力降低.

B. A change in cognition (such asmemory deficit, disorientation, language disturbance) or thedevelopment of a perceptual disturbance that is not better accountedfor by a preexisting, established, or evolving dementia.

认知的改变(如,记忆缺陷,方向感消失,语言不清)或觉知的障碍不能用早先存在或正在发展的痴呆来解释

C. The disturbance develops over ashort period of time (usually hours to days) and tends to fluctuateduring the course of the day.

D. There is evidence from the history,physical examination, or laboratory findings that the disturbance iscaused by the direct physiological consequences of a general medicalcondition.
