告别Monument Valley, 即沿HWY163往北, 然后转HWY261, 很快便并入犹他HWY95, 奔Capitol Reef国家公园而去.
这HWY95要穿过地图上标为White Canyon的大片地区, 以极大量红色峡谷. 本大人火线将其封为”全美风景路” (All American Road), 享受犹他HWY12同等待遇. 曾经有人称从North Rim 到South Rim一路风景甚佳. 开过HWY95后, 那一段就不值一提了.
在一笔直的路上恰逢一雷雨刚扫过. 但见雷雨云团就在前方. 这一路段怕有30公里长, 且无一车. 立即将速度提到100英里(160公里), 几分钟后便赶上了雷雨. 随即减速到70英里, 几分钟后窜出雷雨下车一看, 洗得极亮!
