朋友上次来我家学做了两款甜面包, 这次来做欧式面包, 每次来我家回去就买好多新工具, 我都觉得很内疚, 不是说没有条件买, 只是每个人的消费重点不同, 我并不希望大家跟我学着买这些特殊工具, 我知道我是有点过头了, 有的东西买来后用几次就就寝啦, 但我的爱好就这个.

这次还有一家好朋友的小孩也很想学, 所以就想尽量做不用特别工具的面包, 没想到做完后, 朋友说马上要去买那个发面篮子, 咳, 又怪我.

他们下午两点要来, 我们自己午饭赶快吃了个简单的凉拌面,

麻辣酱:

酱油, 酱油膏, 糖, 镇江醋, 麻油, 红油, 花椒油, 胡椒粉, 葱粒, 蒜泥, 姜米, 新鲜辣椒粒, 麻辣火锅底酱.

 

吃时再加香菜, 葱花, 熟芝麻 或碎花生.

1- 面包, 做了两个欧式面包, 一个甜面包,








做面包同时, 就顺便吃了个便饭, Tex-Mex Fajitas dinner

Served with:

- corn chips toasted in oven to warm up, flour tortillas steamed to warm up

- grilled red and green bell peppers, white onion

- Jalapeño sour cream, pickled jalapeño, lime wedges, shredded cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, mashed white beans, and cilantro.

2 - Grilled steak, Carne Asada

Used skirt steak, marinated for 1 hour in fridge with:

About 4 lb steak
¼ c extra virgin olive oil
¼ c red wine vinegar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp Taco seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
2 tb soy sauce

Grilled on high heat for 2 min per side, it’s perfectly done, just about medium rare.



















3 - Fresh salsa/Pico de Gallo

7 roma tomatoes
½ white onion
3 green chilies
1 garlic
½ c cilantro
1 lime juice
salt
1 TB pickled jalapeño with 1 TB juice






4 - Guacamole

½ white onion
3 green chilies
1 garlic
3 ripe avocadoes
2 tomatoes
½ c cilantro
1 lime juice
salt




5 - Salmon Ceviche

About 2 lb salmon, raw, diced
1 white onion
Juice from 3 limes, 1 orange, 1 lemon

Marinate the above in refrigerator for 3 hours
Then mix with these:

4 tomatoes
3 green chilies
1 avocado
½ c cilantro
¼ c extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp salt








6 - 甜点, Kahlua Flan

加了墨西哥咖啡酒的焦糖布丁.

Caramel sauce:

2/3 c sugar
¼ c water
1TB corn syrup

1 can condensed milk
1 can of evaporated milk
¼ c water
1 TB Kahlua
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt
4 eggs + 2 yolks


Bake at 325F in water bath for 1.5 hour




7 - 茶点, my quick and easy Rugelach,

2 – 10” pie crusts

2 c walnuts
2/3 c brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Brush the pie crusts with egg white, spread the nut mixture, cut into 8 wedges, roll each triangle up toward the center, sprinkle more of the nut mixture, and place them on a baking sheet, bake at 375F for 20 min.









8 - Starters: Spanish pickled clams, mussels, olives, artichoke mousse, and crackers, and white asparagus.

9 - Drinks: Strawberry Margarita, mango Margarita, beer, juice, Mexican soda, wine, tea, espresso, etc.

10 - Fruits: Strawberry, pineapple, watermelon,

11 - Special treat: Icewine float - Canada icewine with ice cream, 朋友刚从加拿大带来的冰酒, 跟冰激淋一起吃, 好棒.
