A Toyota spokesman said the auto maker looks forward to analyzing the Consumer Reports results, since its own data haven't showed the same kinds of problems.
John McCandless, speaking to reporters after an Automotive Press Association luncheon here presenting the results, said that some of the complaints noted by Consumer Reports involved shared systems.
McCandless said the survey reported problems on systems the V-6 version of the Camry shares with the four-cylinder version, which is still recommended by Consumer Reports. The same situation applies with the four-wheel-drive versions of the Tundra, he said.
"We're looking forward to analyzing the Consumer Reports data," McCandless said. "But none of our internal data shows a problem or consumer dissatisfaction with these models."
He also noted that Toyota remains one of the top auto makers in the survey.

Toyota ranks third in reliability among auto makers, behind Honda Motor Co. ( HMC) and Subaru, the automotive division of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.
