a note on a day

"At the end of the day, all that matters is happiness." said my boss.

After a long conversation, it's the only line that keeps popping up in my head. He is an honest man, I knew it even before I took the offer to join the company. He's happy and satisfied. I can see it. When I mentioned some particular periods of time in the past, I referred them to being happy which brought him an abrupt spark in his eyes. Yes, he was surprised to hear because those were times when we busted our asses off to catch up deadlines. I guess that explained how different we are, although we both are financial people, and we both are honest.

The first time for a while I feel good and happy, not just saying I'm happy but actually feeling it. I think things get clearer as they are approaching to a decision. These days I've been thinking, you gonna live for life. It ain't about money but fulfillment. It ain't about title but satisfaction. It ain't about people around but yourself. It's even not about what you do, but how you feel. However, of course, without what you do, you couldn't feel what you feel right.

On a completely different note, this week is World Youth Day, a festival about Catholic religion (I even can't be bothered to look up dictionery to get spelling right). 120,000 ppl came to Sydney from all of the world to see Pope where I just want to say, I don't give a sh#t. Covered by a gentle, forgiving, peaceful and the-king-of-universal-kindness outfit, who knows his hand is not getting its way to another pants. A big load of crap.
