Dauther washes her own clothes now

It is a good news. However, it takes a lot of efforts to get here.

6 months ago, my wife started to push my daughter to wash her own clothes. The two struggled and I never tried to get between them. It did not work out--my wife could not stand on her own ground. She did it once she found too much accumulation.

3 months later, my wife talked to me and complaint that I had not had any support for her. I said that if you wanted, you better not wash any her clothes, even it piled up.

She thought it over and gave an final notice to our daughter. We both watched the dirty clothes piling up. LP kind of lost control. More fights, of course. I joked with my wife that if you could not stop herself, there was no way.

Another circle started. This time I paid more attention to my wife. One week later, I asked my wife to just wash our own clothes. 10 days later, my wife wispered to me:

" she is not doing it".

"Be patient."

Two week later, I guessed my daughter ran out of clean clothes. On the dinning table, I joked with my daughter, "ran out of clothes now?"

She looked at me, no answer.

"Do you know what I did in high school and college? I was lazy and just put the dirty clothes on. You may want to try--put the sockes under your pillow and one week later, there is no smell at all."

"Haha...", "Haha..." everybody laughed.

"Really, daddy, you did that?"

"Yes. I had no washing machine. I had to do it all by hands. You know,it is summer break, nobody will notice you do it. The worst, your bother would say my sister is stinky."

.....

The next day, I saw my wife and my daughter working together on the washing machine.


Parents--humor! We all did things bad when we were young!
