龙的故乡

Thames , My Sleeping Beauty…

Here, early in the Autumn, I stand

On southern side, of the riverbanks

Behind me, and down, from a tree

Scattering around, are the autumn leaves.

Alone, in quietness, I stroll

Along the embankment, a wide road

Slowly, there flows the River

Carrying my thoughts, with the water.

Oh

My dear Thames

River of time

Floating on your surface

Many memories, of yesterday

Gone are many eventful years 

Along with the gentle waves.

A city in fogs 
You have seen dark nights

 

 

Away, the boats may have sailed

 

 

But the old castle is there to stay

 

 

And still I see the lofty bridge

 

 

Towering over there, in sight.

Along the flow, history is made

 

 

as so many of those, eternal days

 

 

But as a river, you quietly flow

that ancient country

 

 

East of the globe?

 

 

And my dear sleeping beauty

 

 

Ever you know this

 

 

That in the land of the Dragon

 

 

Galloping fast forward

 

 

Are two great rivers

 

 

The Yellow and the Yangtze?
